TRAILER - HARD BOILED (1992)

Nobody, and we mean nobody, can stage a gunfight as masterfully as John Woo. During his heyday in Hong Kong from the mid 80s through the early 90s, Woo directed some of the most explosive action films ever made, creating a style that is still being emulated by action directors today. His combination of slow motion effects and hyper kinetic action can leave the viewer exhausted and no film displays his style better than HARD BOILED.

Woo's final film produced in Hong Kong stars his regular go to actor, Chow Yun-fat, as a tough- as-nails cop who teams up with an undercover agent to bring down a ruthless mobster and his gang. A lengthy final gun battle in a hospital highlights this action classic. We love the fact that Philip Kwok from Shaw Brother's Venoms fame plays one of the main baddies. Throw this one on with Woo's other masterpiece, THE KILLER (1989), for a perfect double feature.
