SISKEL & EBERT CLASSIC REVIEW: JOHN CARPENTER'S PRINCE OF DARKNESS (1987)

Siskel & Ebert was on channel 2 at 11:35 pm every Sunday. Here is our weekly tribute to the two legends. Film school starts now.

G's Take: The return of Donald Pleasence (HALLOWEEN) and Victor Wong (BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA) to a Carpenter film is reason enough to recommend this underrated picture from the Master of Horror. Like IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS, this deals with themes and topics that Carpenter hasn't previously explored. It's far from perfect but the story is interesting and the film has enough jumps and scares to be effective. Long live Dr. Loomis and Egg Shen! THUMBS UP.

See you on forty deuce,
G
