TRAILER - NIGHTHAWKS (1981)

This is not only some of Rutger Hauer’s best work (BLADE RUNNER is still my favorite) it’s also some of Stallone’s best work in an action film (FIRST BLOOD still takes the prize though). NIGHTHAWKS has some really well done foot chases and stunts that are 100% pant-shitters. This film started out as THE FRENCH CONNECTION III and would have seen Popeye Doyle (Gene Hackman) team up with wise a wise cracking cop (Richard Pryor). Hackman was thankfully reluctant and the idea was scrapped and re-written. Thanks cocaine!
