Happy St. Patrick's Day Plisskenites. For those of you heading out tonight to pound back the green beer, we salute you. For those of you who are staying home to avoid the madness but still feel like a party, grab a sixer and throw in this little gem. Made back when Tom Hanks was mostly known to the masses as the comic who dressed like a girl on some television show, BACHELOR PARTY has reached cult status in recent years due to the presence of Hanks and bad girl Tawny Kitaen in the leads. Full of goofy, frat boy humor, the film is a lot of fun and offers up a fair amount of laughs as Tom and buddies tear it up one night during that wild male ritual known as the bachelor party.

Interestingly enough, Hanks and Kitaen weren't the producer's first choices for the lead-roles. Paul Reiser and Kelly McGillis originally landed the parts, but due to a lack of chemistry, were replaced in early production. A wise decision, as Hanks and Kitaen play well off each other and as anyone who has had the fortune (or misfortune) of watching a Whitesnake video can tell you, Kitaen was one hot piece of loveliness back in the day.

So as an added St. Patty's Day bonus, we will be showing one of those Whitesnake videos for all of the single guys out there that will strike out tonight. And ladies, if David Coverdale is your cup of tea, well, you've got that as well. Just don't expect this kind of thing too often on the Grindhouse. Salute!
