TRAILER - SENGOKU JIEITAI (1979) aka G.I. SAMURAI & TIME SLIP

It’s no secret that I’m a Sonny Chiba fan. He brings everything he has to each performance. Most films are built around his strength as an action star, few showcase his talents as an actor. The three exceptions are SHORINJI KENPO (1976) (aka THE KILLING MACHINE), the KILL BILL (2003) films, and SENGOKU JIEITAI (1979) (aka G.I. SAMURAI and TIME SLIP). In fact, you could easily make the case that SENGOKU JIEITAI is the most demanding of his talents. The trailer is a little lengthy (just over four minutes) and serves as almost a Reader's Digest version of the film. This is a top 5 Chiba classic.
