DEAD-END DRIVE IN is a post-apocalyptic tale from the legendary Brian Trenchard-Smith. Trenchard-Smith is a smart filmmaker who truly appreciates his plots and characters. He doesn’t operate under any false pretenses, he knows exactly what his films are and fully embraces each genre he works in. This is really one of his most visually interesting pictures. Australians and the apocalypse, they go together like Chiba and ass-kicking.
